Morgan Scholarship
Dr. Daryle W. Morgan
Professor Emeritus
Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution
Texas A&M University

The Houston Section of the American Welding Society is pleased to announce a campaign to endow the Dr. Daryle M. Morgan Scholarship through the AWS Foundation.
The current Dr. Daryle M. Morgan Scholarship was founded in 2002 and is funded solely by fund raising events conducted by the Houston Section of AWS. In the new format, funds for the Dr. Daryle M. Morgan Scholarship will be placed into an account and be administered nationally by the AWS Foundation. The principal will remain in this account, and the interest will be used to fund scholarships for Houston Section students. This national endowment insures the continuation of this scholarship for deserving students and cannot be revoked.
The Houston Section Board of Directors approved the allocation of funds earlier this year to serve as a match for private donors and is now inviting outside contributors to help with the endeavor. The Houston Section will match the first ten-thousand dollars of funds raised.
Donations to the Dr. Daryle M. Morgan Scholarship Fund will help further the education of students aspiring to fields in welding, welding engineering, inspection and other welding related fields. Donations are tax deductible and are now being collected by the Houston Section. Please contact John Husfeld at 832.876.6097 for details.
