Saty Segu Bio

Saty graduated from India as a Mechanical Engineer in 1961, and in 1964, obtained his specialization in welding engineering at The Welding Research Institute in Hamburg, Germany. He has taken various courses among which the following are noteworthy: Welding Quality Control, Weld Metallurgy, Structural Design, Aluminum Welding, Certified Welding Inspector, ASNT Level III in RT, UT, MT, PT (U.S.A.) as well as Senior Level in RT, UT, MT, PT (Canada) and ISO 200 Lead Auditor.

Some of his accomplishments include the following: Development of QA/QC procedures and welding procedures, evaluations of over 600 companies, developed computerized automated welding on steam generators for nuclear plants with zero defect.

Worked as AWS Education Chairman for the last 3 years.

Also worked as a AWS Treasurer for the last year.

Saty is a member of The Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, Canada, and American Welding Society in the United States for over 30 years.
