I was fortunate to get my start in the welding business at an early age. While I was in High School, I had the opportunity to go work for the Miller Electric Warranty & Parts Depot for a Five State area. Getting the chance to lean to work on this type of equipment at the factory, started me on a 41 year career in the welding related field. It even kept me out of Vietnam when I got drafted into the army. I was in the right place at the right time to be associated with the repair, sales, management & manufacturing side of the business over the years. From being a Staples Welding Machine repairman to Profax General Manager, to Associated Equipment Company Service Manager, Associated Welding Supply Sales Manager, to finally being a part owner & President of Affiliated Machinery Inc. Getting the chance to see welding from inside the machine to owning over 3,000 pieces of equipment can give you a really different perspective.

Also 11 years on the Houston Section Board from 1989 to 2000, to being on the Board of Directors for AWS.

I can't imagine a different life because of all the greeat people I have had the chance to work for, with, meet & serve with on many welding associations.
