Area of Expertise:

Fred is a Sr. Business Development Specialist in traditional welding processes. In his 20 years in the metal fabrication industry, Fred has developed extensive expertise in metal forming processes, industrial engineering, all aspects of traditional welding and laser processing. Fred is the Chairman and is also on the AWS A5S and ISO US TAG 44 committees. Fred is also on the board of the Houston Section of AWS.

Background:

Prior to joining Air Liquide, Fred was employed as a pipe welder at Utah State University, Heating Plant Engineer at Salt Lake Community College, and Weld Shop Manager at the same college. Fred served in the U.S. Military as a tracked wheeled vehicle mechanic.

Education:

Fred graduated from the SLCC with a 2 year degree in Welding and Machine Shop Technology and from the Utah State University with a BS in WET, and is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
